Staged Homes Sell Faster

Selling a home is not an easy process!

First impressions matter when selling your home. Almost all home buyers start their search online. It is important to have professional pictures that entice the buyer to want to see the home in person.

Cluttered countertops, rooms with too much furniture, awkward arrangements of household items make the potential home buyer have a hard time picturing themselves in the home.

It is very important for a home seller to remember that the way we live in a home and the way we prepare a home for sale are very different. Remember…..decorate to live and stage to sell!!!

Below are 3 steps to make sure that your home shows at its best:

  1. Clear the Clutter!!
  2. Go Neutral
  3. Enhance a Room

Clear the Clutter

Potential buyers want to see the features of your home not your stuff. In the kitchen remove most everything from the counter tops and replace with a decorative plant or a simple arrangement of pleasing friendly decor. Groups of 3 things of varying sizes and textures is key!

Go Neutral

Everyone has specific tastes so staying away from strong bold colors is best to appeal to the widest array of buyers. A neutral palate makes it easier for a buyer to picture their own furniture and decor in the home.

Enhance a Room

Ideally buyers should walk into a room and see the crown molding, built in bookshelves and take note of the flooring and walls. Using decor to enhance the features of the room is where the importance of a stager comes in to play. Sometimes a well selected pop of color or a well placed set of pillows or a properly draped blanket can make or break a room!
